S-1210 Seimac SATFIND PRO EPIRB

Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB)

The SATFIND 406™ PRO EPIRB is a vital safety aid for all vessels - from commercial ships to recreational boats.
Once activated the SATFIND 406™ PRO EPIRB enables the mariner to send an encoded distress signal, indicating the location of the emergency and the EPIRB's unique ID, to the nearest search and rescue center.

The EPIRB's ID number is kept on file by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA) in the US and the National Search and Rescue Secretariat (NSS) in Canada. When a SATFIND 406™ PRO EPIRB is purchased, there is a registration card that must be filled out and sent to NOAA in the US or NSS in Canada. This ID number tells the search and rescue centre the size and name of the vessel, the vessel owner's home address, phone number, and next of kin.

The
Seimac Product #S-1210 is a Category I EPIRB (automatic release) which comes with a fully-enclosed housing, designed to withstand extremely hostile marine environments, including maximum resistance to UV and chemicals as well as durability to withstand temperature extremes and shock. A hydrostatic release automatically deploys and activates the beacon when submerged to 33ft.(10m). It can also be manually activated.

This unit also offers a user-changeable battery so you never lose time again on the sea for an EPIRB battery change. Simply unscrew the old unit and replace it with a brand new battery. You can even keep an extra battery on hand for quick replacement.
